The original “Teen Mom” girls are set to make a comeback to MTV, reportedly under one condition. Amber Portwood, Maci Bookout, and Catelynn Lowell are allegedly on board with the idea of a comeback series, so long as their former co-star, Farrah Abraham, isn’t involved!
Initially, an insider told Us Weekly said that the girls didn’t want their kids around Farrah Abraham, saying, “They don't want their kids on a show where someone's talking about sex toys.”
Since her “Teen Mom” days, Farrah Abraham has tried out some new, questionable ventures. Aside from writing a memoir and trying her hand at music, Farrah has also entered the adult film industry making not only films, but adult toys. She has also appeared on many talk shows defending her choices.
It seems plausible that Maci Bookout, Amber Portwood, and Catelynn Lowell wouldn’t want to be on a show that could potential include Farrah talking about these things, but at least one of these girls doesn’t mind appearing on a show with Farrah Abraham!
According to a March 20 E! Online report, a source explained, “"People are saying Amber refused to be on the show if Farrah was brought back and that's not true. She contacted Farrah just the other day and sending her love.”
After getting out of prison, Amber Portwood revealed that when she and Farrah Abraham originally worked on “Teen Mom” together, they didn’t get along at all. However, that appears to be water under the bridge for both girls. Amber is trying to move on with her life and Farrah tends to ignore what is said about her.
Even though Amber Portwood is game to appear with Farrah Abraham again, that doesn’t mean that Maci Bookout and Catelynn Lowell are either. On top of that, there isn’t even confirmation that MTV wants to bring back the original “Teen Mom” series. As of right now, these are only rumors, but there is some evidence to suggest that the rumors could be true.
The source who spoke out about Amber Portwood also noted that MTV “was impressed” by how well the recent “Teen Mom” specials did. “Being Maci” starring Maci Bookout was the first to air last year and did so well that MTV followed up with “Being” specials for Amber Portwood, Farrah Abraham, and Catelynn Lowell.
It is obvious that fans loved the shows and would love to see the original “Teen Mom” girls back, but should Farrah Abraham be involved?
