Original Recipe: Game-Day Cheese Ball

Game-Day Cheese Ball

½ lb. bacon, cooked and crumbled

2 – 8 oz. packages Light Neufchatel Cream Cheese, softened

1 – 8 oz. package 2% Reduced Fat Shredded Sharp Cheddar Cheese

3 green onions, finely chopped

2 TBSP Worcestershire sauce

1 TBSP Lemon Juice

Dash Cayenne pepper, more if you like it a bit spicy

1 Cup finely chopped pecans, toasted

In a large bowl, beat Cream Cheese and Cheddar cheese until smooth. Add all remaining ingredients except pecans: beat well after each addition.

Lay out a large sheet of plastic wrap on your work surface. Dump out the cheese mixture onto the middle of the plastic and fold the plastic wrap around the cheese, forming a roughly shaped ball. Once you have the cheese wrapped completely in the plastic, you can form it into the ball shape you desire. Refrigerate for several hours or overnight. Before serving roll the ball in the toasted pecans to completely coat with the nuts. Serve with assorted crackers and mixed vegetables. Serves a crowd of 10-12 people.
