The original celebrities that stared in the “Star Wars” trilogy movies have signed on to star in the upcoming “Star Wars” movie. Celebrity actors will resume their same roles; Harrison Ford as Han Solo, Mark Hamill as Luke Skywalker and Carrie Fisher as Princess Leia. The Rolling Stones reported on Feb. 19 that it is still up in the air whether Harrison Ford will have a full role in the new production or just make cameo appearances.
There has been some gossip spinning through the internet that has gone viral whether or not Harrison Ford should take on this role or not. Some fans of the original film say that they feel he is too old to play the charismatic space cowboy he did back in the day when the first movie came about. Others think this performance will ruin his esteemed career. And then there are his die-hard fans that just can’t wait to see the latest trilogy film with Harrison Ford staring as the one and only Han Solo.
Disney purchased the “Star Wars” franchise from the Lucasfilm for over four billion dollars. The newest film is being directed by J.J. Abrams titled “Star Wars, Episode VII” is still being written by Michael Arndt. The film is set to be release some time in 2015. That’s a long wait to endure but fans are dedicated and will be on pins and needles just waiting for the box offices to open.
Fans look out for there is more than just one film in the works. Carrie Fisher, Mark Hamill and Harrison Ford may be in all three new episodes: VII, VIII and IX. With all the new technology available these days all three films will be new and exciting packed with a great adventure while still being based on the original theme following the first movie that was ever aired.
