Origin software now available for Mac

On 9 February 2013, EA pushed Origin for Mac out to the masses, after a rather brief beta period. Now available, the Apple-friendly game distribution software offers the same features as its Windows counterpart, including dual-platform play for integration across both major operating systems.

This new cross-compatible feature only applies to select EA titles that are currently available on both platforms, and also allow users to game access to both versions with just a single purchase. By releasing their software for Apple's operating system, Origin is slowly but surely catching up to Steam, which began offering titles for Mac in 2010.

To download Origin for Mac, go on and make a mad dash to the EA website. The program is free to download and install, and we guarantee you won't regret it.
