Organizing Your Craft Room

Any day now the tree, paper, ornaments, lights and stockings will get packed away for another year.  It’s now time to start thinking of organizing that craft box, craft corner or if you’re lucky craft room.

Think Function: A craft room is all about function. You need to know what you have so you are inspired and you have everything you need at arm’s length.

Think Cleanup: A true crafter can hold the stance that they can’t be creative and clean but if you want to be as productive as well as flowing with creativity you need order. If you’re crafty then you have scraps of fabric, paper, glue, sparkles and more. Make sure there is an easy trash system.

Think Storage: Some projects are ongoing like scrapbooking and sewing, while others are inspired throughout the seasons. Make sure there is a place for everything and things are well labelled.

Think Inspiration: Fill your craft corner with things that inspire you to create. Music, photos, smells, colors, whatever makes you happy, focused and busy.
