This weekend makes a great time to visit the Gifted Gardner here in Midtown Sacramento. Remember that gardening is not just about planting plants and harvesting tomatoes. It can also be about having fun and personalizing your garden using garden accessories. Perhaps the most famous garden accessory is the garden gnome, but trust me, there are a million other cute and adorable objects that would sit beautifully in your garden.
Locally you can find something for anyone at the Gifted Gardener. If you have not yet visited the Gifted Gardener, which is located at 1730 J St., Sacramento, CA 95814, then you really should. Not only is this a quaint little boutique it is full of some really interesting accessories for your garden.
The folks down at the Gifted Gardener have just about everything a body could want to accessorize their garden. From wind socks to fountains, to Zen stepping stones to plaques, there is something there for everyone. There are a ton (literally) of the little garden statues to choose from all over the store. They also have a fabulous collection of wind chimes. My favorite spot in the store is their small library because they have such an amazing collection of books that you don't find everywhere else.
The Gifted Gardener is also a great place to find speciality plant starts. They often host several plant sales throughout the year. If you are into succulents, then sign up for their newsletter when you visit the store because they have a great succulent sale in the spring. This is the place to visit this weekend to get on your garden groove.
This is also a good place to find organic seedlings. They don't usually have a huge selection of seedlings, but what they have is always healthy. They will often have plants that you don't find at the local nurseries.
This little store is really just one of my favorite places to visit. It is a good place to go and find inspiration for projects that you might like to do around your garden. Take your time and walk around the entire store because you will find little corners that are full of delightful merchandise. The staff there is also very friendly and full of top notch knowledge. So mark the Gifted Gardener as a to visit this weekend, and you will find a lot of inspiration to take home with you.
