The Eat to Live organic dinner series resumes on January 14, 2013. The Windsor Chamber of Commerce's Green Committee sponsors the Eat to Live program with a mission of hosting fun discussions about organic foods and tips for natural and healthful living while enjoying healthy meals together. The meals are held on the second Monday of the month beginning at 6:00 p.m. at Bart's Beanery, 55 Palisado Ave., Windsor.
The cost for the meal is $15 per person and proceeds benefit First Town Downtown and other Windsor organizations. The menu for January's dinner includes cheesy vegetable chowder; pepper, coriander and sesame seed-encrusted salmon; wrapped asparagus; pine nut and preserved lemon couscous; and crustless cranberry pie with tea and coffee. During dessert, guest speaker Melissa Everett, Ph.D., the Hartford area outreach coordinator for Community Energy, Inc., will give a brief presentation.
