Aubrey Cleland of West Linn, Oregon, made it to the next round on Feb. 28, on the American Idol's 12th season in the Sudden Death Round. This is her third season as a contestant on American Idol. Previously she competed in seasons 10 and 11.
Cleland a 2011 graduate of Jesuit High School in Portland, Oregon is currently a sophomore at Christian college, Chapman University, in Orange, California. In high school she competed in track and field sports. She ran the 200M, 400M race and 100 and 400 relay.

In 2009 Cleland competed in Portland Oregon Teen Idol 2009 and made it to the finals. In 2010 she made it to the top 90 out of 318 contestants, and the following year the top 40 out of 310. This year in season 12 she has so far made it to the top 10 females.
On Wednesday's show Cleland stunned the audience as she wore a gold geometric long sleeve mini-dress with sparkling high heels, that left many viewers wondering where she shops. It wasn't just the dress that viewers were impressed by, it was also her athletic runners build and her outstanding voice.

As Cleland sang Beyonce's "Sweet Dreams" the audience was pleasantly surprised at how well the 19 year old mastered the ranges.
We'll see if Cleland has what it takes to finish first in American Idol.
