Bend, Oregon: Man arrested for shooting dog with a nail gun.

Police received a report by the dog’s owner stating that someone had shot his seven-year-old pug with a nail gun. The next day police arrested Kevin D. Willard, 28, for animal abuse in the 2nd degree.

Apparently, Willard had encountered the dog when the dog was walking through a construction site where Willard was working. Willard allegedly shot the dog with an air powered nail gun that shot 3 inch nails. Police said when Willard saw the dog, he fired. Luckily, the dog was not seriously injured.

Willard was booked into the Deschutes County Jail at 12:34 a.m. on Tuesday, August 6th, 2013, but was later released on $1,000 bond.
