The Central Point Police Department does an exceptional job of routing traffic and nearby vendors help by welcoming parkers. Jerry’s Meats welcomed people to park in their lot, as did other nearby businesses. They set up a welcoming and friendly introduction to the Central Point business community.

As with any successful event, there are growing pains. This year it was necessary to have two tents to house all of the vendors. It spread out the action, but still produced crowds of people and if you did not make it to both tents, you missed a lot of wonderful Oregon items.

Did you know the valley has a pumpkin seed factory? How about Olive oil? Without a doubt the valley wineries are stretching out to create some incredible wines. Not too long ago there were a few really good wineries, now there are many that are making extra fine Vionier, Pinot Gris and some excellent Pinot Noir.

Chocolate, wine and cheese go together. Zorba’s chocolate paired with Rogue Creamery Blue Cheese and any of a number of fine wines will make your trip to the Cheese Festival something to remember.

Shibui with a cracker and the salmon cream cheese dip is an idea that will make your next party a real deal. Made right in Talent by Jay and Erin Krebsbach, it is a Rogue Valley wonder.

Rogue Valley Olive Oil Company is utilizing some olives grown in the valley, but are also using some from around the Corning area in California. They are producing some fine olive oils that will compliment items like the Applegate Valley Artisan Breads.

The Seed Oil Company outside of Murphy has an interesting assortment of pumpkin seed products. They feature culinary oils & flours, Farm & Pet supplements, Natural Body Oils Grown and Cold Pressed organically in Oregon, pumpkin seed oil, pumpkin seed butter, pumpkin protein powder, camelina seed oil, grape seed oil & extract. They use Valley pumpkin growers as well as purchasing from other farms throughout Oregon. Plans include a viewing room where visitors can watch the whole pumpkin process!

Compliments to the Oregon Cheese Guild for putting together another great show!
