Orange Lake man charged with possession of crack cocaine

Marion County, FL (May 23, 2014) – Devon Robinson, 24, of Orange Lake, was booked
into the Marion County Jail around 2 a.m., Tuesday, May 20, 2014. Robinson was
arrested after an attempted traffic stop. Robinson was driving a dark Acura that was
weaving back and forth on West Anthony Road. A deputy “activated emergency lights,
spot light and sirens,” according to the arrest affidavit. Robinson kept driving.

Just before the deputy used a Precision Immobilization Technique (or PIT maneuver),
Robinson jumped from the vehicle and ran off. He was caught about fifty yards later and

Robinson will face the following charges: Possession of crack cocaine with intent to
distribute, possession of marijuana, tampering with evidence, felony fleeing - attempting to
elude a law enforcement officer, resisting without violence, driving under the influence
(DUI) and driving while license suspended.
