Halloween is almost here, even though this year it seems we have celebrated it all month long. With October 31 being the day to celebrate, these are my top 5 picks.

On Oct 31,between 3 and 5 p.m., kids can enjoy an afternoon of train rides pumpkin decorating, face painting and costume contests, at the Anaheim Town Square. The stores, that have pumpkin window clings and balloons, will be giving out treats and special offers.
The costume contests are divided by age; 5 years and under, 6 - 11, 12 - 16, and 17 and over. Sign up is at 3 p.m. contest at 4 p.m. Prizes are $100, $50, and $25. For more information call 714-956-3411.
Kidz Block Party

This is north Orange County's largest free Halloween event, presented by the 'Cause Community Church'. The event will feature over 40 carnival style game booths for kids of all ages, with special games for the little ones under 5 years on Madrona street.
There will also be face painting, balloon art, a bounce house, petting zoo, rock climbing wall, pony rides, and best of all lots of free candy. There will also be entertainment for the adults to relax as the kids have fun or make their way through one of the giant inflatable slides.

On Oct 30 & 31 everyone is invited to join the Vampirates at dinner on board an authentic replica of a 18th century Spanish Galleon, anchored in the, in-door lagoon, with night sky lighting The lighted lagoon is surrounded by a six-sided showroom of six additional ships where the costume-clad guests will be seated.
This annual masquerade ball, with vampire hunters Randolph and Kate, has been running nightly since Oct 1. Now you can enjoy dinner as you witness the dangers lurking in the haunted secret cove and the abduction of Randolph and Kate, by Captain Sebastian Black and his horde of vampire pirates, to be their midnight snack aboard their ghostly ship.
Come dressed in your favorite halloween costume, enjoy the show and find out if Randolph and Kate escape the perils they face, participate in the costume contest and even win a prize.

On Oct 31 the Cypress Recreation and Community Services is having a Halloween Carnival. The low admission of $3 for anyone over 1 year allows them to enjoy - game booths, family games, trick-or-treat street, and lots of Candy. On October 31, between 4 - 8 p.m. the downtown area of Huntington Beach will be "BHoo Spooky Town' where the free Halloween event will be taking place. There will be pony rides, games, entertainment, a petting zoo, and lots of candy.
