The 2013 Laguna Beach Music Festival presents the 'sounds of South America', featuring the Grammy-winning Argentine composer and pianist Pablo Ziegler, along with Hector del Curto, Jisoo Ok and Pedro Giraudo, who are part of the Pablo Ziegler Classical Tango Quartet. Also as part of the festival will be emerging artists, as well as chamber music by South American composers, presented by the Calidore Quarter from the Colburn Conservatory of Music.
On Tues Feb 5, the Woman's Club of Laguna Beach, will hold the opening night party of the Laguna Beach Music Festival. The pan-Latin dance ensemble Todo Mundo plays samba, Salsa, Reggae and more for dancing, and wine and tasty bites from South America will be served.. Cost of the tickets is $45 per person.
The Laguna Beach Music Festival is a presentation of "Laguna Beach Live" and the Philarmonic Society of Orange County.

One need not leave Orange County to celebrate Madri Gras. This Feb 8 the Orange County Fair Grounds, in Costa Mesa, will be holding a 3-day Mardi Gras festival that willl include, Parades and floats, Arts & Crafts booths, a all day Masquerade party, live music and costume contests. There will be a special kids zone with rides, games and more. Tickets cost $15, with children under 12 years are free. Parking costs - $5 general and $8 preferred.

The Coast Gallery in Laguna Beach will he holding a special appearance of Bernie Taupin on Sat. Feb. 9 between 7 p.m. - 9 p.m. and on Sunday between 1 p.m. - 3 p.m, part of the fine art gallery display of his works "Beyond Words" which opens on Feb. 7. For those who enjoy artworks it is a great opportunity to see a display of his collection, and to meet the legendary songwriter and lyricist. A RSVP is requested.

Disney will be holding Chinese New Year celebrations at Disney California Adventure Park from Feb 8 - 13. From 10 a.m. - 5 p.m. each day, in the Pacific Wharf area, there will be Asian food offerings, unique merchandise, dancers, musicians and martial arts performances. Many of the Disney characters, which will include Mickey and Minnie, will be there to celebrate 'the sun and moon' beginning their journeys for another year. This year there will be a special limited-edition pin, commemorating the Year of the Snake, get there early, while supplies last to get one.
