Hommel, former senior director of scheduling and acquisitions requested a medical leave after she became pregnant.
During her pregnancy, she claims she was given less responsibility and lost her shot at becoming VP, as her duties were simply passed to another employee.
One month after she gave birth her boss, Michael Garner slapped her with a negative performance review which resulted in her termination.
Many people know Oprah Winfrey because of her big heart, and dedication to the empowerment of women, however business is business, so Hommel might just have a case.
