The site is known as the location where Winfrey filmed her tremendously successful show – “The Oprah Winfrey Show” – from 1990 through 2011. In 2011, Winfrey stopped the production of her daily talk show to start her current project – which is the Oprah Winfrey Network (OWN), on cable television.

A statement from Harpo Studios asserts that Harpo Studios have entered into a purchasing agreement with Sterling Bay for the four-building Harpo Studios campus in Chicago’s West Loop. The statement said that Harpo expects the transaction to be closed within 30 days. Additionally, the property will be leased back to Harpo for two years and the studio will continue to produce programming for OWN.

The 3.5-acre land is selling for approximately $32 million. Currently, some 200 people work there.
