Oprah Winfrey reveals why she did not have kids

Oprah Winfrey can be called many things—actress, philanthropist, and billionaire are just a few; however, there is one title she does not regret not having—mom.

In a recent interview with The Hollywood Reporter, Winfrey said, "If I had kids, my kids would hate me."

She went on to say how her kids would have “ended up on the equivalent of the 'Oprah' show” talking about her, because something in her life would have had to suffer, and it most likely would have been them.

Winfrey said her BFF and mother of two, Gayle King, was the total opposite and was dreaming of motherhood in seventh grade Home Ec, while Winfrey was dreaming about how she could be Martin Luther King.

Her hectic lifestyle and demanding schedule are not for the faint of heart, but Winfrey has a long list of mind-blowing achievements for all of her hard work.

She recently was given a Medal of Freedom by President Obama, and Oscar buzz surrounds her regarding her role in Lee Daniels’ The Butler, where there is a good chance she'll be nominated for best supporting actress.
