The media giant Oprah Winfrey Network is moving to West Hollywood. The three year old company, OWN signed a lease Monday, March 24, 2014 to move into a 60,000 square foot, five-story building on Formosa Ave.
The project will be completed by the end of the year and will have screening rooms, soundstages and an upgraded security system.

The move was confirmed by Sheri Salata, president of OWN and Harpo Studios. “We’ve been a little limited in our current offices, so when we film in L.A. we’re shooting in people’s houses or renting stages,” she said.

Although the move is a pricey deal, it is believed to be a major move that will become a financial advantage for the struggling network.
