When actor and director Tyler Perry sent Oprah Winfrey a massive floral arrangement, he only meant to celebrate her birthday in style, but instead he accidentally caused Oprah pain.
After the flowers were delivered Oprah decided to pick them up, but it seems she forgot to lift with her legs and not her back. A TODAY report dated January 31, says that Oprah Winfrey strained her back on her birthday when she lifted the huge floral arrangement sent by Tyler Perry.
Perry, of course, feels bad that his gift became a source of pain for Oprah. He immediately sent out a tweet to his fans to explain.
“I FEEL SO BAD
I like to send really large flower arrangements to people for whatever occasion. Well, I sent one to Oprah yesterday for her birthday. She strained her back picking it up. No joke! Feel better Oprah. Happy birthday. Sorry. :-( Next year I'm sending her one rose. :-)”
Over 120,000 fans “liked” the tweet, leaving over 10,000 comments ranging from reminding Perry of their own birthdays and hinting for flowers, to well wishes to Oprah.
Oprah shared a picture of the flowers she received for her birthday on Twitter, but did not disclose if the flowers in the picture were from Tyler Perry or a combination of arrangements she received for her birthday.
In separate tweet Oprah said, “Beautiful birthday. Thanks All!”
Oprah Winfrey turned 59 on January 29.
