Oprah’s chart begins with Venus in Aquarius in the Second House. For those wondering whether she and long time companion Steadman will ever tie the knot, don’t hold your breath. She is indifferent, as she already considers herself married to him. And speaking of her “marriage” to Steadman, this is a “glove fits” partnership. They are great friends. On the note of friends, Oprah chooses friends wisely by selecting those who are loyal and trustworthy. Aside from friends, Oprah has impeccable taste in most things fine in life: food, art, property, clothing, etc. She has an understanding of what is just and honorable and willingly faces battles accordingly. She was destined to be a guide to others. With Venus trine Jupiter, she is a very lucky person. On the negative, she struggles with resigning to her responsibilities. Oprah’s fan who requested this chart analysis specifically wanted to know if Oprah would be moving to South Africa to spend time with the girls at her academy upon retirement. The stars say, though she may intend to do that, a majority of her time will be spent with friends. Health may be used as an excuse for her physical absence.

With the Sun in Aquarius in the Second House, we know Oprah is a woman with a calling to educate and improve the lives of others. Those with this placement also have wonderful financial success in life. Mentors matter a great deal to Oprah. She knows exactly how to approach a problem in need of resolution. The Sun square Saturn again indicates Oprah tends to overlook her personal responsibilities. Poor Steadman!

Also in Aquarius in the Second House is Mercury. Oprah was born with an amazing mind for business and she is an expert communicator. Her mind is full of smart and original ideas. She will continue to make future-forward decisions throughout the remainder of her life.  She was born to guide others on a large-scale level. Who would have guessed Oprah has a bit of a temper? And any guesses as to what happens when she’s upset? She says things she doesn’t mean. She loves her privacy and knows how to keep a secret--especially her own secrets.

In the Sixth House, we find Jupiter retrograde in Gemini. Many famous broadcasting personalities have this aspect in their charts. Oprah could make the deepest impact by broadcasting new concepts for both physical and mental health.

Next, we find Uranus retrograde in Cancer in the Seventh House. This placement explains why Oprah is rarely photographed at events with Steadman at her side. She is very independent when it comes to relationships. This does not suggest a shallow bond, merely independence. She’s actually a bit of a romantic.

Pluto is retrograde in Leo in the Eighth House. Oprah could care less about the outward appearances of others. She is intensely creative. She is a person who will experience tremendous personal growth, time and time again.

The last planet retrograde in Oprah’s chart is Neptune in Libra. Equality is a theme here. Since birth, Oprah has had an understanding of the true sense of equality. This has allowed her to relate to people from all walks of life. Career-wise, this placement of Neptune suggests profound spiritual leadership with the public. If she were to produce a film based on this subject, it would have a soaring success, unlike her last two films.

With Saturn in Scorpio in the Tenth House, Oprah hates to admit it, but she’s selfish. Of course, she is one of the most charitable people in the world, so let’s give her a break. She deserves to be selfish. Her career is her top priority, along with her reputation.

In the Eleventh House, we find Mars in Scorpio. Oprah has an altruistic heart and a warm spirit for others. She is a hard worker. On a personal level, she’s pretty passionate when it comes to the laws of attraction--although she denies herself this type of passion far too often.

Last in Oprah’s chart is the Moon in Sagittarius in the Eleventh House. Oprah is an advocate of the little guy, the underprivileged, the honest and the innovative. She exposes the heart of a situation each and every time.
