O, The Oprah Magazine, Oprah Winfrey’s publication, has included supermare Zenyatta in its 2010 “Power List” lineup of influential females. The reigning roster was announced on September 14th.
Zenyatta (Street Cry x Vertigineux by Kris S), a champion among Thoroughbred racehorses, has pranced her way into sports headlines in the past few years, galloping into the winner’s circle in every high stakes race she has entered.
The 2004 mare joins educators, humanitarians, journalists, performing arts celebrities and other high-profile females in O, The Oprah Magazine’s “Power List” for 2010.
“She could well be the world's most invincible athlete,” O, The Oprah Magazine said. Author Laura Hillenbrand (Seabiscuit) listed key qualities that set Zenyatta apart as a leader among today’s females.

Of course, Thoroughbred horse racing fans will be watching for Zenyatta at the 2010 Breeders’ Cup World Championships, to be held the first weekend of November at Louisville’s Churchill Downs.
