Oprah Winfrey is not old. If fans even consider writing this idea on Twitter be advised the talk show host could track them down and provide a really awkward moment. Apparently that is exactly what happened to a Twitter follower who was carrying on about the celebrity's age on Tuesday.
The conversation caught the eyes of the masses as the talk show host actually responded to the fan who felt compelled to focus on her age.
“Damn @Oprah look old as hell tonight!!!!!! #NextChapter,” tweeted Mia_#1Leo, the fan who insulted Oprah. While the message was just out there for the Twitter world to appreciate it appears that Oprah really does read her online messages and to the surprise of millions actually called the fan on the carpet about the remarks.
“@kp1lady old as Hell? Really?” tweeted Oprah from her official Twitter account on Thursday. Everyone reading the message could just hear the star’s voice in their heads with an inflection at the end of the statement that was posed as a question.
Oprah may not be looking as young as she used to, but then again neither does anyone else. However the moral of this story isn't just about remarking on the way people look, it’s also about talking behind people’s back. Ruthless online remarks do reach the unintended individual and it appears Oprah isn't going to let people carry on like some stars do.
Just for the record, most fans feel that Oprah looks only as old as her age. Since she just celebrated her birthday, everyone agrees she looks to be in her mid-thirties. Of course the real reason she looks that young is Oprah's age never really mattered before and it still doesn't now.
