Oprah gives away 2012 VW Beetle cars, Facebook.com people quote her like the Bible
On Monday, November 22, 2010, the show wherein Oprah gave 2012 Volkswagen Beetle cars to Favorite Things Part 2 audience aired, and you can imagine how Twitter and Facebook are lighting up with reaction to the big give.
But one of my "favorite things" to do is check out YourOpenBook.org, a site that lets you search unprivate Facebook status updates on a number of topics.
Combined in with the obligatory "I wish I was on Oprah today" and "Oprah give me something" Facebook posts, you'll see folks quoting Oprah like Jesus:
"Be thankful for what you have; you'll end up having more. If you concentrate on what you don't have, you will never, ever have enough. Oprah Winfrey," wrote a woman named Barbara on Facebook.
"'As you become more clear about who you really are, you'll be better able to decide what is best for you - the first time around.' -- Oprah Winfrey," wrote another Facebook poster.
"I never went for the money, I just said, 'God use me. Show me how to take who I am, who I want to be, and what I can do, and use it for a purpose greater than myself.' -Oprah Winfrey," another guy reminded us, not facetiously, I think.
This FB guy posed an interesting question:
"Wonder if God introduced His favorite things on Oprah if there would be as much crazy, crying, laughing, fainting, gasping, shouting as Oprah's favorite things," wrote a guy named Dean, one who picked up on the over-the-top excited frenzy of Oprah's Favorite Things audience.

Does Oprah actually give these cars away herself, does she pay for them? or are they a gift from VW and she just takes credit for it?
