Opportunities are available for those who are poverty class not just who are homeless. Yes, the majority are homeless but the programs are open to all who need assistance. As has been mentioned in other articles, one can have a home and still not be able to feed ones family. The house could be something passed down in the family or various other circumstances. One of these such oppertunities is the Trinity Church as it is known in the Local community. Also known as St. David’s Episcopal Church.
The program is called the Trinity Center. They will help provide help with ID’s, Birth Certificates, eye glasses, perscription co-pays, and varous other essentialsl. Mondays at 10:00am it is Women’s day only for clothing and Hygein, Tuesdays is Women’s only at 9:30am for financial assistance, Wendsday through Friday it is open at 9:30am for the neighborhood both men and women.
Why two days for only women and no special day for men? There are more homeless men in every population then there are women. So, there are less programs put together in helping women who are homeless or in need. They also have other programs that consist of free computer classes, case management, scripture study class, and free art classes from the street. These programs are run by volunteers both of the church and community.
