Oppo's 5-inch screen flagship monster has been reviewed by the geniuses over at Gsmarena.com and it turns out the phone's a mixed bag of the excellent and not so excellent.
Here's a short recap of the phone's best features:
- 1080p 5-inch LCD display
- Quad-Core Processor
- Android 4.1 Jelly Bean out of the box
- 13 megapixel camera
Let's start with the bad news first. Some Oppo Find 5 units have shipped with dead pixels on the phone's LCD, not exactly a good start for a phone that's all about the screen. The 13mp camera didn't impress the team at GSMarena either. The battery on the phone is non-user replaceable, so getting a fix for a dead battery may prove to be difficult. There's also the lack of LTE connectivity, which could be a deal-breaker for many US consumers who will most likely be shelling out a lot of money for a phone that isn't available state side.
The good news is that the phone is well built and attractive. Also, the 2500mah battery provides the device with great battery life, so it looks like users will have plenty of juice to watch movies on the glorious 5-inch screen.
Of course, the screen is the main attraction and it doesn't disappoint.
If this sounds like your kind of phone, you can pick it up for $500 (16gb) or $570 (32gb). Not too bad when compared to the other unlocked quad core beasts on the market.
