According to MStars News on Tuesday, Ophelia Lovibond was interviewed about her role in James Gunn's "Guardians of the Galaxy". It appears that Benicio Del Toro, who plays The Collector, is her father and she also mentions a scene with Chris Pratt as well. She couldn't say too much about the film, as the actresses was aware of the consequences, but she did tell a little about the scenes she was involved in.
For those who may have recalled at the end tease of "Thor: The Dark World" where Volstagg, played by Ray Stevenson and Sif, played by Jaimie Alexander, appear to Taneleer Tivan, The Collector. The Aether, which was a source of great power to The Dark Elves which held to be the key of their return to the universe, was presented to The Collector to keep it safe. He pretends to honor the Asgardians, but when they leave he expresses his desire to collect all six Infinity Gems, one of which has already acquired from Sif and Volstagg. The other gem remains in a vault on Asgard.
Lovibond plays the role of Carina and has a brief scene escorting and introducing the two Asgardians, but she does explain that there is the same kind of feel to the "Thor" sequel as comparable to "Guardians of the Galaxy". As some may recall, things are quite colorful in a "Wizard of Oz" back-and-white to color transition. Though some of the characters look like a human with a rather deadly sunburn, the aliens prove to be quite the rainbow of color as seen in at the Millennium Bridge in London.
Lovibond has been seen in films such as "No Strings Attached" with Natalie Portman and Ashton Kutcher. She'll also be starring in "Man Up" with Simon Pegg and Lake Bell". "Guardians of the Galaxy" opens in theaters come Aug. 1.
