Operation Supply Drop raised over $300,000 in games and related swag for the men and women of the United States Armed Forces during the holiday season, the public charity announced in a press release obtained by Examiner today.
This November, OSD raised $302,187 in games and swag for U.S. military deployed overseas and in military hospitals.
Highlights from their record-shattering month include donations from Popcap Games, Gamestop, Intel, Zombie Studios and Hidden Path Entertainment.
Here’s a list of the major donors to OSD’s mission this year:
Popcap Games: $104,000 in game codes and t-shirts
GameStop: REDACTED in Playstation 3 bundles, games and swag
Zombie Studios: $25,000 of in-game currency for “Blacklight Retribution”
Intel: $21,000 of pre-built Intel NUC form factor computers
Hidden Path Entertainment: $20,000 of game codes for “Defense Grid”
According to the release, OSD will continue to gather gaming goodness for U.S. military workers in their third annual "12 Days of Non-Denominational Holiday Gaming Goodness" supply drop initiative.
