The "Tea Party" is just beginning!
Many "tea partiers" and 9-12 protesters were angered by the way the mainstream media misreported their big protest In Washington, DC held on September 12.
In particular, they felt that the media underreported the number of attendees, with conservative activists claiming up to 2 million in the crowd, while some mainstream media outlets could only bring themselves to report that "tens of thousands" had assembled in the Capitol.
In response to this and other examples of liberal media bias, Operation: Can You Hear Us Now? was born.
This coming October 17, activists will be rallying outside their local elite newspaper and tv news outlets to protest media bias against conservative ideas.
Here's some information from the Operation: Can You Hear Us Now? website, explaining how to organize a local rally:
Step 1: Contact all your freedom-loving, American-loving, free-speech loving friends and get together to plan. Draw from your local Tea Party group or 9/12 group or other friends. Protest all things you did in D.C. – plus the complicit media!
Step 2: Identify local left-wing media outlets (most likely TV, since no one reads newspapers anymore).
Step 3: Plan a rally for October 17th, 2009. If you have enough folks, visit multiple sites concurrently, otherwise pick your least favorite, liberally biased outlet as ground zero. Time it for max participation for the working (i.e. tax-paying) class. Before the AM news or at the evening 6 o’clock hour might be good (local time).
Step 4: Use your 1st Amendment Right to Free Speech right outside their offices or broadcast locations.
There are now rallies confirmed for many cities around the country, with more being planned every day.

As if your local television news had any kind of political agenda beyond winning the local sweeps twice a year.
Local TV news is either "if it bleeds, it ledes," school or the "happy talk" school - or some ammalgamation of the two.
They don't know any better. Media school has prepared them for socialism, not realism. Its why just about every station now is tainted with these mini radicals.
People know this , so who watches?
When your known as liars no amount of bling is gonna change it.
I don't suppose it's important for you to verify the attendance at the 912 tea party before venting your spleen is it.
No, I didn't think it was.
And which bastion of journalism as socialism did YOU attend, Revnant?
Because I've been to several of the most prestigious ones as a guest lecturer - and I say you are full of crap. Jouranlism programs are too busy trying to teach people how to read, think and write (making up for the lousy educations they received before college) to be indoctrinating anyone.
Now, if you want to talk about social science majros, you might have a point.
I heard that only about 30 nutjobs showed up to the tea party that Kathy Shaidle hosted in Canada and that it was very poorly run and disorganized. Guess Canadians aren't that interested in watching her rage in person.
That's laughable. Maybe she can bring out all 30 tea baggers in Canada for this media blitz she's promoting. LOL.
Rush: Kathy, can we count on you for Operation: Name Ripped Off From a Verizon Commercial?
Kathy: Yes, Rush, all 30 of us! Confused and addled!

Yet he cannot even spell! What a wonderful public education system we have.

I tried to read Jack's comments but with all the spelling and grammatical errors it wasn't possible.
Aw gee... sorry... fingers don't always type what I want, especially on a small screen.
Spell check isn't worth much on spelling, but is terrific on typos - too bad this system doesn't have it.
None of which invalidates my point: I've yet to encounter a journalism program that has even a hint of ideological bias, except in the sense of a fanatic defense of the First Amendment and open government information.
Some professors certainly are left-leaning, sure - since I'm speaking about military-media relations, I've certainly irritated a few. But there also are some profs who are somewhere to the right of Attila.
None of which seems to affect the curricula of the J-Schools, which is focused on the mechanics of reporting, writing and, these days, all the alternative media besides print and broadcast - all while applying heavy deadline and other pressures.
J-School is much more like a trade school than an ideological pressure cooker.
Did you hear about Steve Nunn? So sad that anyone with an R next to their name is apt to go apesh**. These Republicans guys are wackos. My favorite recently is lovesick Mark Sanford, who many people thought might be the Republican frontrunner for the 2012 presidential election. He's just a little lying, corrupt lovesick weenee who is cuckoo for pu**y.
Then there's Mark Foley, whose taste runs to the other gender--and underage. Like the Catholic Church did with their molesting priests, the Republican leadership covered up for him time and time again.
TOP FIVE REPUBLICAN GAY SEX SCANDALS
Mark Foley (R)
U.S. Representative
(September 28, 2006)
The Crime: Sending sexually laced, gramatically challenged instant messages and e-mails to teenaged boys in the Congressional page program for more than 10 years.
The Hypocrisy: Chairman of the House Caucus on Missing and Exploited Children. One of the foremost opponents of child pornography in the Senate.
The Quote: get a ruler and measure it for me
TOP FIVE REPUBLICAN GAY SEX SCANDALS (CONT.)
Ted Haggard
Leader of the National Association of Evangelicals
(November 2006)
The Crime: Paying male prostitutes for sex and snorting crystal meth.
The Hypocrisy: A powerful force in the evangelical movement, Haggard participated in weekly meetings with President George Bush and top advisors where he gave spiritual advice. He taught that homosexuality was an abomination and actively lobbied against gay rights.
The Quote: I did not have a homosexual relationship with a man in Denver.
TOP FIVE REPUBLICAN SEX SCANDALS (CONT.)
Larry Craig (R)
U.S. Senator
Senate Liason for Mitt Romneys Presidential Campaign
(June 11, 2007)
The Crime: Soliciting sex from an undercover cop in an airport bathroom
The Hypocrisy: Craig twice voted against adding the words sexual orientation to the federal hate crimes law. Craig also voted to give states the right to refuse to recognize gay marriagea right they already had, but the Senator wanted to really, really prove he didnt like gay people.
The Quote: I am not gay, I dont do these kinds of things.
TOP FIVE REPUBLICAN GAY SEX SCANDALS (CONT)
Bob Allen
Member of the Florida House of Representatives
Florida Chairman of John McCains Presidential Campaign
(July 11, 2007)
The Crime: Offering an undercover cop $20 to allow Allen to blow him in a mens room in a public park. After being arrested, Allen tried to explain that he only offered to blow the cop because the cop was a burly black man and he didnt want to become a statistic.
The Hypocrisy: Allen was one of 21 Florida legislators to sign Gov. Jeb Bushs friend-of-the-court brief supporting the states ban on gays adopting children, and he co-sponsored an unsuccessful bill that would have enhanced penalties for offenses involving unnatural and lascivious acts such as indecent exposure.
The Quote: I certainly wasnt there to have sex with anybody and certainly wasnt there to exchange money for it.
TOP FIVE REPUBLICAN GAY SEX SCANDALS (CONT)
Glenn Murphy Jr.
National Chairman of the Young Republicans
Chairman of the Clark County Republican Party
(July 28, 2007)
The Crime: Murphy got a fellow Young Republican drunk and then spent the night at his house. The other young man woke up in the middle of the night to find Murphy giving him mouth-to-penis resuscitation. After this incident, a 1998 sexual battery report came to light in which Murphy was alleged to have done the exact same thing.
The Hypocrisy: Murphy was a well-paid political consultant for Republican candidates and often advised them to use gay marriage as a wedge issue to paint their opponents as out of touch with traditional values.
The Quote: I was in the Sound of Music in High School dont ask (from his now-defunct Myspace page.)
J-School today.

I had the miss the first protest, but I'll sure be at this one!
We will not win this debate by being correct. We need to win it by letting people know that we're correct.
All of this is missing the point: demonstrating outside your local media outlet, print or broadcast, is largely a waste of time. Wrong target - few, if any, would qualify as "local elite" media outlets.
Most local print folks would fall below the federal poverty level if they have more than a couple of kids - and TV folks are only slightly better off.
That's assuming they have a job at all - if you haven't noticed, newspaper and tv news staffs are significantly smaller than they were just a few years ago.
Hey, how did that work out for y'all?
Have seen much more than a burp in the media.
Got something to say?
