Saturday, April 5, a Dutchess County winery, Clinton Vineyards, opens its tasting room for the season. Specials include reduced admission to a wine tasting, (to $8 for this weekend only) and a special gift for opening weekend guests.
Clinton Vineyards sits on 100 acres of majestic Dutchess County property in Clinton Corners, NY, and is known as “The jewel in the crown of the Hudson Valley.” Designed by founder Ben Feder to resemble a vineyard in the romantic 19th-century French countryside, Clinton Vineyards has been a popular destination for wine lovers and tourists alike since it was established in 1976.
Clinton Vineyards offers a portfolio of Estate-bottled, award-winning wines such as seyval blanc table wines, traditional méthode champenoise sparkling wines and fruit dessert wines, sourced from local Valley growers. According to their website, "Their celebrated Cassis is the only domestically produced black currant wine to garner awards in international competitions."
The 2014 Spring tasting room hours are Saturday and Sunday, noon until 5:00 p.m., during April and May. Clinton Vineyards is located at 450 Schultzville Road, Clinton Corners, NY 12514.
