The Flats sit along the banks of the Cuyahoga River—once the happening destination for Cleveland nightlife; the many clubs and restaurants have sat dormant for years. New attention is being placed on this area of downtown Cleveland with a variety of projects proposed or in the works. One of the latest developments, opening in just a few weeks, is a new music venue aimed at filling a space sometimes forgotten in the Cleveland music scene. The Music Box Supper Club will offer two stages dedicated to a wide variety of music, aimed at bringing a fresh feel to the music scene in downtown Cleveland.
As the name suggests, this new venue will adopt the personality of a supper club—offering musical entertainment along side top-notch culinary offerings. The restaurant will be open seven days a week; serving lunch and dinner, as well as a Sunday Brunch and a Late Night Menu. Diners will be able to enjoy a wide selection of great food while enjoying the beautiful view right along the waterfront. The menu is available online, if you wish to get a head start on planning your first visit to this new downtown hot spot.
Within the two-story building, the Music Box Supper Club will host musical acts of a wide variety of genres—both national touring acts and local musicians—in upstairs Concert Hall and the downstairs Supper Club. They already have an impressive listing of upcoming shows with well-known local artists such as Anne E DeChant and JiMiller Band and national touring acts such as Bruce Cockburn and Northeast-Ohio’s own Macy Gray.
Proprietors, Mike and Colleen Miller, come to Cleveland from Chicago where they originally entered the entertainment industry by purchasing a blues bar in the early 90’s. Mike is a Cleveland native, returning home. The Music Box Supper Club is going to be a great new player in the lively music and food scenes Cleveland continues to develop. Visit their website to check out the full schedule of upcoming events and the great culinary offerings that will be available for your enjoyment in a few short weeks.
