The truth of the matter is everything changes. Taste changes, personalities change, technology and society change too. Change, it seems, is inevitable… but why are people so adverse to it?

I’m not a psychologist so I have no real credibility when stating my thoughts on mankind’s adversity to change. However, by my observation it seems like people are getting better. More and more people, specifically younger people, seem to accept change and view its necessity in society. With all of the changes in technology, I’ve come to accept change as an everyday sort of deal. I’m really excited to see what is next!
However, we need to learn how to anticipate the effects of change. While change is necessary, not all change is for the better. This is what we need to think about regarding the potential changes in the healthcare system. Change needs to happen to the system so that it can become more effective, that is a given, but there are different types of change we could do besides this universal stuff. There is nothing wrong with caution, there is nothing wrong with taking the evidence countries such as England, France, and Canada have given us (both for and against the proposed healthcare change) and try to reason out what will happen to us. The thing about socialism is that it is a slippery slope. Once you start you cannot simply change back.
If you want to know WHY I think that, you should comment. Discussing the issue may you and me for the better. You never know what’s really going to happen!

I don't know, Victoria, if your post is meant to be in the Psychological-spiritual forum or in the political realm. The problems we have are a direct result of government involvement all the way back to the sixties. We have what we have because the droids of DC created it. Now, like the Terminator, they're back with "solutions" to the very problems THEY created. Would you believe anything someone told you after being robbed and lied to for forty years just because, with a tear in their eye and a quiver to their voice, they say they "care"? It would be like the spouse you've knowingly has cheated on you for decades telling you to trust them "just one more time". You'd have to be both a fool and a masochist.
