Open Mic - October 29th - in Metropolis!

Metropolis Public Library and Super City Dots will be hosting an open-mic night for young adults and teens on October 29th in honor of Teen Read Week, Halloween, and community support of creative culture!

All young adults and teens are invited to sing, play an instrument, dance, read poetry - and more! - either solo or with others. Sound equipment, two microphones, and an electric piano will be provided. All other necessary materials (guitars, etc.) will be the responsibility of performers.

Registration for anyone who is interested in performing will be at 4:15. The show begins at 5:00. Time alotted per person/group will depend upon the number of participants. The event is scheduled to last until 8:00 p.m., but will end earlier if the stage is empty before this time.

All young people in a Halloween costume will get a free schwag bag full of goodies AND be entered for a chance to win more giveaway prizes. There is no cover charge for this event, but all refreshments will have to be purchased individually from Dippin' Dots.
