Warner Bros. Pictures will be filming the upcoming feature film 'Contagion' in Atlanta, Chicago, Minneapolis, Dubai, Japan, Switzerland, The United Kingdom, Brazil, Russia, and Malaysia. There will be two cattle calls for extras to work on the Chicago area production of the film.
Academy Award winning director Steven Soderbergh will helm the project, and he will also co-produce with Oscar Nominees Michael Shamberg and Stacey Sher, along with Gregory Jacobs. Scott Z. Burns has penned the screenplay. Burns also wrote the screenplays to the Warner Bros. Matt Damon films "The Bourne Ultimatum," and "The Informant!".
The movie Contagion is an action-thriller centered on the threat posed by a deadly disease and an international team of doctors contracted by the CDC to deal with the outbreak." It is rumored that Contagion won't be a sensationalist sci-fi movie, rather it will be more of a reality type situation - what is see in the movie could really happen today. With the recent H1N1 outbreak and the current Whooping Cough epidemic, this film may revive public fear, but probably for the best. People should not let their guard down. Potential virus outbreaks are a reality, especially with so many parents not getting their children vaccinated out of fear of autism.
A Los Angeles based extras casting company will be holding open extras casting calls in the U.S. locations, as there will be a very large number of extras used in the film. Details are being posted on the following website:
