The hit Lifetime Television legal comedy-drama series "Drop Dead Diva" is in production on it's fourth season in Atlanta, Georgia. Casting Director Bill Marinella, an 18-year industry veteran, is holding an open casting call for background performers who are interested in working on the show. The positions are fully paid, and there are no fees to attend the casting call. Although the series is set in Los Angeles, this series is being shot in Peachtree City, Georgia, and Senoia, Georgia.
Drop Dead Diva tells the story of aspiring actress/model Deb who dies, then comes back to earth in the body of lawyer Jane. Talented Minnesota native Brooke Elliott plays the title role in the series. Elliot is a trained singer and has appeared in many Broadway shows, such as "Beauty and the Beast," "The Pirate Queen," "Taboo," and "Wicked". Margaret Cho plays her assistant Teri Lee; Kate Levering plays tough-as-nails lawyer Kim Kaswell; Ben Feldman plays guardian angel Fred; Jackson Hurst plays Deb's fiancée Grayson Kent; April Bowlby plays Deb's best friend Stacy; and Josh Stamberg rounds out the cast as Parker.
