Nearly seventy-three years ago on May 24th, 1941, two people living in Minnesota had a son in which they named Robert Zimmerman. Years later, that same curly haired boy they raised would grow up to be the musical icon and legend, Bob Dylan. Tomorrow Bob Dylan turns 73 years old, and is still touring and going strong. Birthday bashes and concerts are being held all over the world to celebrate his life, his music, and his legacy. Bob Dylan is loved by many, and generally known by all. His music has been passed down through generations, while still finding a way to remain current. It's no surprise that at 73 years old, he's still able to sell out shows and make headlines.
Countless books have been written about this man, a more recent one focusing on his fans. This is why this year, I have decided to create an open letter or birthday card if you wish to Mr. Bob Dylan. Whether or not he'll see it, I don't know. However, if enough people comment and share their stories, he just may. This is why I invite all of you who read this to share a comment. Tell us your birthday wishes for Bob. Tell us what you like about him, what you dislike about him, what you would say to him, any stories and really, anything related to the man and the myth cloaked in generations of music that is Bob Dylan. Share your thoughts below, and just maybe the birthday boy himself may see it.
Happy Birthday Bob Dylan, may you have many more.
