In May 2013, the Disneyland Resort will host some Greek themed activities at both Disneyland and California Adventure. The event is called Opa! A Celebration of Greece and includes music, food, and more to celebrate Greek culture. The activities will take place between 10 a.m. and 6 p.m. on May 25, 26, and 27, 2013.
Opa! at Disneyland: The activities will take place in the "it's a small world" Mall area. Here there will be the opportunity to train with Hercules, live Greek music and dance performances, "The Citizens of Greece" atmosphere entertainment, and special Greek food offerings.
Opa! at Disney's California Adventure: The activities will take place in the Paradise Garden area. The activities include tasting Greek wine, Greek music, Kalamatiano line dnaces, special Greek food offerings, and "The Citizens of Greece" atmosphere entertainment. There will also be a special dinner at the Golden Vine Winery on May 26 featuring Greek celebrity Chef Argiro Barborigou and Greek winemaker Christina Boutari. Tickets for this event go on sale online starting March 25, 2013.
