I, like most, enjoy the unique familiarity of each and every season of the year; however, I am so ready to start experience spring. We’ve all been doing the winter drudge and dreary shuffle which was long and trying this past season. Now the essence of spring does not disappoint; it is bolding establishing its presence as it closes the winter chapter. Everywhere I look, I’m experiencing a color explosion including burst of seasonal flowers peeping up with color attitude. I love it when my head spins at something that unexpectedly caught my eye. Ooops! Made you look! That has got to be the design catch phrase of the season.
Eco-dwellers, it is time to get out!! Shopping is at its best this season and merchants have been waiting so long to show off their spring wares. There are so many creative and exciting interior design ideas on display everywhere. Pay close attention to how colors are introduced this season. I simply love the bold fresh color pairings and how they are being infused through traditional décor accessories; pillows, throws and rugs. A seasonal remix of colors will invite you home every day. Collect ideas as you migrate from spot to spot; take some snapshots and pick-up a trinket or two.
Try browsing venues that you might not have tried in the past. Design ideas are plentiful and continuously updated at Pottery Barn and Crate and Barrel. In Cincinnati, shop Kenwood Towne Center for these retail treasures. Pay attention when shopping elsewhere; Macy’s, Nordstrom’s, Bloomingdales and most high end retailers’ offer well thought out vignettes. Take the time to peruse their spaces when you are out and about City Surfing in other locations. These are great places to grasp a fresh new interior design idea that can be duplicated in your own space and with your own design twist.
Remember, home is where your life happens; be creative and allow your dwelling to represent your unique self.
