Online sports community, Tribesports, introduces its own activewear line

Tribesports, one of the largest online sports communities, used the Kickstarter to launch the world’s first community-powered activewear line last year, with high-performance pieces perfect for athletes and fitness enthusiasts of all levels.

"The response from all of our Kickstarter backers was incredible, commenting on how good the quality and style of the kit is"
The $38 Men's Performance Tights are a really good deal

The Tribesports Performance Range is being developed with input from Tribesports’ community of 200,000+ athletes from 131 countries, who drive the direction, style and technical specifications of future lines. Tribesports athletic wear is made to meet the highest specs, using premium technical fabrics and cutting-edge construction methods, but the company is skipping costly pro athlete endorsements to bring its designs to market at prices up to 40 percent lower than leading sports brands.

"The response from all of our Kickstarter backers was incredible, commenting on how good the quality and style of the kit is", says Neil Brotherston, PR and Marketing Assistant for Tribesports. "Indeed if you take a look at the reviews on the various products on site, the response has been pretty unanimously positive. It's also great to see the pick up from outside of our community, with new people coming to the brand every day and recommending it to friends etc."

"We are already working on the next range in conjunction with our community, and will announce the new products to be introduced to the range that came as a result of the product vote we held during our Kickstarter campaign. When we hit 100,000k we gave our backers and community the power to choose the next product that we should put into development. We will be announcing the winner shortly."

The author has been testing the Men's Performance Kit (top and tights), wearing it mostly as a base-layer due to frigid weather (the kit is designed either for fast paced run or temps above 50F)

The $48 Performance Half-Zip Top is designed to sit close to the skin for a performance enhancing, streamlined finish.
Secret zip key pocket on the back right panel for storing keys and small valuable items, however its size is a bit too tiny.
Raglan sleeves for comfort and freedom of movement could use the same thumbholes women's half top has.
360 degree reflectivity for enhanced visibility in low-light makes a perfect sense for running the streets after dark.

The $38 Men's Performance Tights is a really good deal, especially for those who will "graduate" from ordinary cotton sweat pants.

Ergonomic flatlock seams give a performance enhancing, anti-chafe finish.
Elastic waist with interior drawcord will neatly adjust to your soon-to-be hour glass waistline.
Zoned power mesh ventilation panels is rather unique feature, and may create a new learning experience as a precise location of all these zones is crucial for an optimum performance.
Center back secure zip pocket is just about as tiny as the one in the half-zip top.
Ankle zips for ease of getting tights on/off allows to change in a hurry, without taking the shoes off.
Branded gripper tape on inside bottom hem provides an extra firmness.
360 degree reflectivity is a smart safety feature
Aegis antibacterial treatment provides a feeling of freshness

The success of Tribesports' first active-wear line is a good forecast for the near future apparel.
