Tribesports, one of the largest online sports communities, used the Kickstarter to launch the world’s first community-powered activewear line last year, with high-performance pieces perfect for athletes and fitness enthusiasts of all levels.
The Tribesports Performance Range is being developed with input from Tribesports’ community of 200,000+ athletes from 131 countries, who drive the direction, style and technical specifications of future lines. Tribesports athletic wear is made to meet the highest specs, using premium technical fabrics and cutting-edge construction methods, but the company is skipping costly pro athlete endorsements to bring its designs to market at prices up to 40 percent lower than leading sports brands.
"The response from all of our Kickstarter backers was incredible, commenting on how good the quality and style of the kit is", says Neil Brotherston, PR and Marketing Assistant for Tribesports. "Indeed if you take a look at the reviews on the various products on site, the response has been pretty unanimously positive. It's also great to see the pick up from outside of our community, with new people coming to the brand every day and recommending it to friends etc."
"We are already working on the next range in conjunction with our community, and will announce the new products to be introduced to the range that came as a result of the product vote we held during our Kickstarter campaign. When we hit 100,000k we gave our backers and community the power to choose the next product that we should put into development. We will be announcing the winner shortly."

The $38 Men's Performance Tights is a really good deal, especially for those who will "graduate" from ordinary cotton sweat pants.
