Police and fire crews were dispatched to a one vehicle rollover accident in Croydon Pa., today, April 14 just after midnight. Police said that the crash happened when the driver who might have been intoxicated, did not negotiate a curve in the road and flipped over, pinning himself against a tree.
The wreck happened on State Rd as the driver was going towards Rt 413. A small portion of State Rd. was closed for about two hours , until the car could be removed and some wires removed from the road. Fire Companies from Bristol, Croydon, Newportville, and Edgley were all working at the scene.
The driver was trapped in his vehicle for almost 30 minutes until he was freed. He is expected to be fine. Police did not have his name at the scene but described him as a man in his 50's. No other vehicles were involved and the man had no passengers in his vehicle.
