The trend of zombie television shows is still happening. On Friday, March 7 TVLine reported that actor Robert Buckley has joined the cast of "iZombie," a television pilot that has been ordered by the CW Network. The project was developed by Rob Thomas Productions and Warner Bros. Television.
The project was developed by Rob Thomas Productions and Warner Bros. Television. Buckley has been as in the role of Major, an environmental engineer and former college football player that was engaged to a woman named Liv. Major trying to win her back by being her friend.
The story follows a medical student that became a zombie and uses her job as a medical examiner to keep herself alive. She struggles to control her cravings, but when she eats the brains of her victims she also inherits their memories.
Buckley is known for playing the role of Clayton Evans for four seasons on "One Tree Hill" as the agent of basketball player Nathan Scott. He has also appeared on the ABC drama "666 Park Avenue" as Brian Leonard and an episode of the CW drama "Hart of Dixie" as Lemon Breeland's love interest.
Rob Thomas wrote the pilot with Diane Ruggiero, and they will also serve as executive producers along with Dan Etheridge and Danielle Stokdyk. Other cast members include "Once Upon a Time" star David Anders, Malcolm Goodwin and Alexandra Krosney.
