'One Tree Hill' recap: Nathan headed to Barcelona, Haley headed on U.S. tour (Nov. 30, 2009)

Nathan decided to take a basketball deal in Barcelona on "One Tree Hill," November 30, 2009. Since most of the NBA's rosters were full for the season, Nathan's agency tried to convince him that this was the best option for him. Nathan wrestled with the idea, but he eventually realized that this was the best thing for him and his family. Plus, it would only be for one year.

Haley was sort of ready to jump on board with moving to Spain in support of her husband, but Miranda had other plans for her. She wanted to send Haley on tour the following week. Haley said she wasn't sure she could do it, but Miranda told her the label's life depended on it. Feeling completely confused, Haley called a time out on she and Quinn's fight. Quinn told her to focus on what she wants for once.

They wouldn't be Nathan and Haley without making it work, and this decision was no different. The couple was completely on board with being apart for a while by the end of the episode.

Highlights

When Brooke wouldn't rescue Milli from jail, she called Victoria. Victoria gave her a stern yelling at before sending her home and telling her not to come back until she could act more professional. After hearing about her DUI Mouth went searching for Milli. By the time he arrived back at home, she was there in his bed. Mouth thought she was sleeping and told her how much he missed her and how much he stilled loved her. What he didn't know was that she heard the whole thing. She heard it, but she obviously wasn't listening because it wasn't long before she was turning to another model for more cocaine. Milli owed the girl $600, and when she couldn't pay it she told her she wanted the unreleased red dress from Brooke's new collection. She later stole the dress and walked out on Mouth, who then agreed to move to Los Angeles with Skills if Skills got the job he applied for.
Alex showed up at Brooke's house to tell Julian that she was sorry for telling him she loved him. He let her in because Brooke wasn't home. Julian told Alex that he was going to be spending some quality time with Brooke for a while, so it was a good thing the script didn't get bought. Alex asked if everything was OK between them, and when she pushed too much about it being her fault, Julian blurted out that Brooke can't have children. Brooke was outraged when Alex came to her with adoption pamphlets. Alex told her that she and Julie talk about everything, and Brooke asked her why then Julian hadn't told Alex that the script died because her name was attached to it. Brooke went to Julian crying, but she was more crying about the fact that he had told Alex he wanted kids but told Brooke he didn't need them. Julian immediately went to Alex to tell her off, but Alex couldn't stop from telling him that she loves him. Alex told Julian what Brooke had said, and Julian told her it was true. When Julian went home that night Brooke told him she needed time apart. Alex called him later that night to tell him that she wouldn't be bothering him anymore and would always love him. The final shot of the night was Alex in a bathtub full of blood.
Clay went after an NFL prospect in Arkansas, Troy. When Clay arrived in Arkansas he learned that Troy knew about him being fired. He told him he just couldn't sign with someone without an agency. After leaving Troy's home Clay visited Sara's grave. He begged her to come talk to him, but she never did. When he returned to Tree Hill he decided it was time to go. Not even Quinn could stop him from leaving.
Dan was confronted by Jimmy's mother in the hallway where he was killed. He didn't recognize her, but she had no problem letting him know how much he had hurt her and her family by profiting from the death of her son and the accusations that he was a murderer. After that Dan tried to convince his wife to end the madness and go away together, but she wasn't interested.
