Muhammad Shahhid Nazir, the 31-year old fishmonger made his daily living “One Pound Fish" to his fish market customers to get them to his stand, just one of many fish stands in the open busy market. The story didn’t end at the fishing stall, it continues.
Nazir wanted his stand to “Stand out” so more people would come to buy his fish. “I had to do something to get my customers to notice me, and shouting at them all day long would give me a headache at the end of the day,” Nazir explained during the video.
Catchy customer “shout out”
So catchy, since he is used to saying it all day long for work, his “One Pound Fish” song has become famous. The video has over 7 million hits on it now and is even passing up Psy’s Gangnam Style.

The Bollywood music video features a slicked down, much more polished version of fishmonger Nazir. He has cut his own record deal and made a video. “One Pound Fish” is number 29 with a bullet, on British pop top 40- charts now. From a little town in Patokki all the way to Hollywood, CA Nazir now wants to leave the fish business and pursue his music singing career.
The bottomline now has certainly changes, who know one little pound fish would make all the difference in thee world in someone’s life. “My Queens England fish stall changed my whole life it will always remain dear to my heart.”
