One-on-One with Twista

The super-fast MC slowed down to chop it up in ATL.

Twista, who held the Guiness Book of World Records fastest rapper title in 1992, touched down here last month during the BET Hip-Hop Awards weekend. Before he ripped the mic at a media event, he took a moment to talk about his new album and the short list of MCs that he thinks are worthy to rhyme alongside him.

Q.: Tell us about your album.

A.: Its my 8th solo album called the Perfect Storm.

Q.: What’s the first single?

A.: “Make a Movie” with Chris Brown

Q.: Why should people buy your album?

A: Because it’s raw as hell, it’s dope as hell. It’s classic music. It’s exquisite (laughs).

Q.: Who would be in your dream cypher?

A.: That’s a good question. (Pauses briefly) Eminem, Rakim, Kool G. Rap, and André 3000.

Twista’s Perfect Storm dropped on November 9. Read a review of it here.
