Update 8/17/14: Rescued!

On August 6, a young pit bull mix named "Ben," was surrendered to a busy animal control facility in California.

Ben seems to know the danger that he is in - a shelter volunteer at the Moreno Valley Animal Shelter provided the following heartbreaking statement after seeing the depressed and frightened dog inside of his kennel run:

This is the saddest most defeated looking dog the shelter visitor has seen in a long time. He dropped his head as though afraid, when sweetly spoken to. Heart wrenching.

Ben is in a terrible situation and he is in danger - the dog who did not ask to lose his home and family and he is now at the mercy of space constraints and time limits. If help does not arrive in time, he will be walked down a lonely hallway and his life will slip away in the company of a stranger.

Please take a moment to network Ben's information - before his young life is lost forever.
