One of Nation's Top Junior Tennis Players Moves to Minnesota

There is a new name at the top of the rankings for USTA Northern Section’s boys 18s. Nelson Vick, ranked 26 nationally by Tennis Recruiting.com, has moved to the Stillwell area from Grafton, Wisconsin.

Vick, a blue chip five-star recruit according to Tennis Recruting.com., will play for Ohio State  University next year. He won the Wisconsin (WIAA Division1) State Tennis tournament as a freshman and played #1 singles for the Marquette High Tennis team, which won the Division 1 team title. He has several impressive finishes at national tournaments including 2007 Winter Super Nationals B16s doubles and 2nd place 2008 National Open B18s doubles in Cincinnati.

Vick is followed by Wyatt McCoy and Hamish Weerasinghe on the current USTA Northern Section ranking for boys 18s. In addition to Minnesota, the Northern Section is comprised of North Dakota, South Dakota and the western portion of Wisconsin. For more, go to norther.usta.com

    Nice job on the article.

    You should do an article where you talk tennis with Double T, Trent Tucker, he's a big tennis guy!

    Or, with Justin Gaard, a KFAN personality who was a former two-time Minnesota state champ who played at Iowa.

    Also, Wii tennis is pretty fun.
