Could this be the reason that longtime -- and primary -- Lindsay Lohan lawyer Shawn Holley decided to drop Lohan as a client? A Wednesday report on one of Lohan's other lawyers says the attorney is calling her client "uncontrollable."
Attorney Julia Azrael has reached a point of such frustration with her client, that she has decided it is time for a CYA (cover your *ss) moment. She wants to ensure the court knows that delays are not her fault, but Lohan's.
Grigor Balyan is engaged in a lawsuit against Lohan. He recently filed documents that claim that instead of sitting for a deposition, Lohan is busy partying. Balyan's lawsuit claims that Lohan's assistant drove into him while leaving a Hollywood nightclub in 2010, while Lohan was riding shotgun.
Balyan has asked the judge in the case to fine Lohan and Azrael for giving him the runaround.
Azrael has filed her own documents, which claim that she has been doing her best to make Lohan appear as necessary, but that she shouldn't be held liable for Lohan's appearance issues.
Azrael wrote,
I have made many efforts to convince Lohan to appear for her deposition. I do not know how to reach her directly.
In order to reach Lohan, Azreal is forced to go through Mark Heller, Lohan's new lawyer. Azreal said that Heller has not been cooperating.
In terms of Holley, Lohan's longtime lawyer was on the way to court to seal a deal that was reported to have meant no jail time for Lohan in her lying to the police case when she received the message that she was fired.
Since then, it has been reported that Lohan has pleaded with her to return, but Holley will have none of it. Mark Heller, her new lawyer, is not licensed to practice in California and was once suspended from practicing law for five years.
