On August 17, 2013 media and music artist came together to discuss the state of music in Atlanta. The discussion was beneficial for fans, musicians and musical entrepreneur’s that attended the event. One of the main topics of the discussion was, "What can Atlanta do to diversify its music scene?".
The panelist gave great answers from two perspectives, Atlanta natives and transient residents. Both parties concluded that Atlanta is a special place, that has enough people to have different genres of successful music scences.
However, what each industry has to do is come together and bring different artist, to one stage so that the fans in each arena can relate and thrive on the different vibes that each genre has to offer. Hence, one would not know if they like a certain type of music unless they hear it for themselves.
Placing the different groups together gives opportunity to the entire music scene futher developing its creative and artist ability.
As was the case when Rubyvelle & The Soulphonics performed at the One Music Fest discussion panel, as the group set up, one did not know what they were going to offer the audience in terms of ability and performance.
But once Rubyville began to sing the tunes, amongst the live band, The Soulphonics, one came to see why having Rubyvelle & The Soulphonics, Snop Dogg and Luke James on the same ticket would be a great idea. You can see these acts and many more at the One Music Festival on September 14, 2013.
