High pressure was in dominant control once again on Tuesday and after a low of 50 we reached 73 before 4pm at Philly International Airport. It was under a mostly sunny sky and a light northerly wind. Overnight lows will be in the middle 40s with a clear sky and a calm wind.

Wednesday shall feature sunshine early, but then clouds move in ahead of a warm front. Highs will be in the middle 60s; rain shall hold off until the overnight hours, but highs on Thursday should be in the lower 70s despite the light rain! BUT BEWARE! The warm front will be draped on top of the region so if you went up the Blue Route it may just be in the upper 50s and lower 60s! That warm front will progress north for everyone overnight Thursday into Friday so the afternoon shall be sunny with highs approaching 80 degrees!

Saturday will be in the middle 80s with showers and thunderstorms in the afternoon going into the evening; yes, your Mother's Day brunch may be wet, but the afternoon we shall begin to dry out with highs in the upper 70s. Not too shabby when the average afternoon high should be 71.

So that's it for now and be sure to check out the rest of the 7-day forecast(any time) at www.scottderekwx.com/forecast.html.
