Miami Valley , Whitewater Valley, and the I-71 corridor of Ohio/Indiana:
High pressure continues to slide off to the East allowing for a Southerly flow to return to the region. Temperatures tonight will be cold once again but considerably milder than the last two nights. Lows will be from 3 to 9 above. Tomorrow high pressure will begin to break down keeping sunshine in our forecast for one more day but also allowing for a system to take shape to our SW. This system will be weak intially allowing for a mixture of light snow/sleet/freezing rain to overspread the region Friday and lasting into early Friday night before a low pressure strengthens and moves North on Saturday bringing much milder air Northward. This will change the mixture over to rain Friday night through Saturday before dragging a cold front into the area Saturday night. This will draw much colder air back in changing the rain back to snow late Saturday night and early Sunday. Stay tuned for further updates on this system, as advisories may be needed and amounts to still be determined.
A cold front will continue to drape itself across our region through early next week. This means very cold air will be felt just to our NW and very mild air will be just to our SE. We will be in between these two air masses making for a battle ground of several lows. Precipitation types are to still be determined but any adjustment South in the cold front could mean significant snow or ice accumulations early next week.
