It was a day filled with sunshine and clouds, but with a northwest around 10mph we only reached the freezing mark(at 12:43pm); that's still ten degrees below average, but a morning low of 24 was pretty much average for early February.
Overnight it will be partly cloudy with lows around 20(teens in the burbs) with a light wind. This will lead to a mostly sunny Friday with highs in the lower 30s. There may be some high clouds to the south come Saturday with an area of low pressure along the Delmarva coast so there may be some light snow showers or a period of sleet south and east with highs in the upper 30s.
Sunday will be a better chance to see widespread light snow(1-2") with a clipper pushing by in the afternoon with highs in the middle 30s.
Monday and Tuesday will be dry, but cold with highs on either side of freezing; our next storm system is up in the air right now toward the end of next week(its track first off and then what precipitation we see). I'll keep you posted as it gets closer, but for now we will take one system at a time.
