In addition to conformation classes for over 160 AKC recognized breeds, an obedience trial and a rally trial, this weekend's Leatherstocking Cluster at the New York State Fairgrounds also features over two dozen vendors selling their wares to exhibitors and attendees. Sunday, Nov. 20, offers one more day to find the perfect gift for the dogs and dog lovers on readers' holiday gift list.
This year's circuit features several vendors who are new to Syracuse shows. The wide range of items for sale includes: dog toys, dog and training equipment, dog food, crates, crate mats and dog beds, natural remedies for dogs and people and grooming supplies. For the dog lovers and dog show enthusiasts on your list, the circuit also includes vendors selling fine art, embroidered clothing for dogs and people, grooming tools and jewelry. See the slideshow accompanying this article for a glimpse of the bounty available.
The final show of the Leatherstocking circuit, hosted by Del-Otse-Nango Kennel Club, opens its doors on Sunday, Nov. 20 at 8:30 a.m. and concludes with Best in Show judging later Sunday afternoon. Admission for the general public is $2, and children under 12 are free. Parking at the New York State Fairgrounds is free.
